continues. >> the answers are for the poor victims, the families, the people of connecticut, that need to know and see a clear picture to exactly what happened here. >> reporter: police say sandy hook elementary will remain a locked-down crime scene for months. today crews pulled furniture from the unaffected classroom moving it to a school in a neighboring town, though it's still not clear when it might be used. >> they'll be excused, of course, until further notice and they're developing plans on how best to handle that. >> reporter: investigators are still gathering what they call significant evidence. they will not discuss specifically what have been seized, but there are reports that the home computer may not reveal much. apparently it was smashed before the killing spree. >> it's going to take some time to do that. >> reporter: and it will take some time to interview the more than 100 witnesses, including at some point the children who survived the attack. >> a very, very tender tender issue. i can tell you any interviews with any children will be done with professionals, with pa
in newtown, connecticut today, where people gathered to mark the two-week anniversary of the tragedy at sandy hook. clergy from several faiths gathered to offer their words of support and pray for healing. they were joined by a few oth s others. from around the country, donations are still pouring into newtown as americans try to offer comfort, but as alana gold reports, so much has been pouring in, that space is running out. >>> there's no end in sight. >> every time we turn around, another truckload of stuff has pulled up. >> reporter: boxes filled with donations from across the country are taking over this warehouse. >> louisiana, texas, florida, i think we've seen just about every state. >> reporter: people started sending them right after the shootings at sandy hook, an the stacks are getting higher by the hour. because there are so many donations here, the town hasn't even started to figure out how they'll be divided up or where they'll even good to. >> look to give it to the kids first, take what they want, but we don't know. we're just busy taking it all in. >> reporter: there's no s
got more than he bargained for in connecticut. surveillance video shows him holding up a rite-aid over the weekend. as he walked around to the register, the clerk throws him to the ground, other customers and the pharmacist realized what was going on and they jumped in to help. they all managed to hold the suspect down until police got there. police say the man had a box cutter. one woman wound up with a cut on her leg, but there were no other serious injuries. >>> the woman listed as the world's oldest person died outside atlanta. betsy cooper was 116. her family says she had been sick recently. but she felt better monday. even had her hair done and watched a movie. yesterday she had trouble breathing, and passed away. guinness certified cooper the world's oldest person last year. in case you're wondering, that title now belongs to dina manfer dini, who lives in iowa. she just celebrated her 115th birthday. >>> coming up next, we are hearing from the parents of a young cancer patient taken from a hospital. police say the girl could be in danger. why her mother and dad said they are no
